NIDA Open on again at Daramalan

FROM October 5 to 11, NIDA Open will be holding performing arts classes for people of all ages at Daramalan College.

Head of NIDA Open, Caroline Spence says these courses offer unique experiences for participants of all skill levels.

“With applications now open for NIDA’s higher-education courses in 2016, and the audition season approaching, we also find our spring classes are very popular with people wanting to brush up on their techniques.

“NIDA Open has been educating and training Australians in theatre, TV and film for over 20 years. Based on NIDA’s world-renowned training techniques, our courses are led by experienced tutors and deliver an enriching experience for everyone.”

Hitting Your Mark: Screen Acting October 5–9 10am–5pm Grades 7–10.

During this five-day course, participants will develop the technical ability to be on target, scene after scene. Explore working with scripts from television and film and acting in high-stakes situations while maintaining the ability to master positions and props with precision.

Audition Essentials October 10–11 10am–5pm 18 years +

Discover how to get an audition, what kinds of scenes to choose and how best to prepare for the audition process during this intensive two-day course.
