FIREFIGHTERS are currently on scene at the Metropolitan Apartments, London Crt and Edinburgh Ave, City investigating a smell of smoke.
ACT Fire & Rescue currently has two fire pumpers and one Commander on scene investigating the odour in the basement.

Correction- The odour in the basement is a fuel odour and not smoke.
There are no evacuations and ACT Fire & Rescue is continue to investigate the cause.
ACT Ambulance Service is also on scene and there are no injuries.

The cause of the fuel odour has been found and was a one metre x one metre fuel spill.
ACT Fire & Rescue has used absorbent to mop up the fuel spill and have ventilated the area.
The area has been declared safe and ACT Fire & Rescue will shortly depart the scene.
