An admiring neighbour has alerted “Citynews” to a spectacular Christmas light display in Gowrie – and it’s all been done by a 14-year-old schoolboy.
Ben Walker has been building his collection of twinkling and still Christmas decorations for some years, paying for them out of his pocket money and haunting post-Christmas sales to get bargains.
The result, as “Citynews” found when we popped out to take a snap, is a magnificent display, recently enhanced by a central cut-out nativity scene that appears in near silhouette among the bright lights.
If Ben’s been able to achieve this much by age 14, imagine what it’s going to look like by the time he’s reached year 12!
The Christmas light display is visible near the intersection of Bugden Avenue and Stacy Street, Gowrie.
