ACT Policing is calling for witnesses to an assault that occurred at the intersection of Gungahlin Drive and Sandford Street in Mitchell on Saturday (9 April).

Around 3.50pm, two vehicles were travelling northbound on Gungahlin Drive. Following an exchange between the drivers of the vehicles, one vehicle, a silver sedan, has driven in a dangerous manner.

Stopping at a red traffic light at the intersection of Sandford Street, a male driver from the silver sedan has approached the other vehicle, opened the door and assaulted the driver. The man then returned to the silver sedan, and proceeded through the red light.

Police wish to speak with anyone who saw this incident on Gungahlin Drive and Sandford Street. Information can be provided to Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via act.crimestoppers.com.au. Please quote reference 5945682.
