police

ACT Policing has arrested a 34-year-old Narrabundah man yesterday (Wednesday, 3 February) in relation to traffic offences and breaches of bail conditions.

About 1.10pm, police conducted a traffic stop on a black Holden Calais bearing stolen number plates on Eastlake Parade, Kingston. The vehicle was unregistered and the 34-year-old male driver was a disqualified driver. The man was arrested and taken to the ACT Watch House.

A subsequent enquiries lead to the search of a vehicle and residence in Narrabundah, during which police located and seized suspected stolen property and a replica firearm.

The man is a person of interest in ongoing investigations into several commercial burglaries across Canberra.

The 34-year-old man will face the ACT Magistrates Court this morning in relation to traffic offences and breaches of bail conditions.

Police will oppose bail.
