The Salvos have a cheap will for you

will

THE Salvation Army with the support of local solicitors is coordinating Wills Days in Gungahlin, Civic and Tuggeranong on July 7 for a $50 donation to their local services.

Studies show that at least 45% of Australians do not have a valid Will. If you pass away without a Will your estate will be distributed according to a pre-determined formula and, if you’re only living relatives are more distant than cousins, your estate will pass to the government.

It can cost between $300 and $1,200 to have a simple Will drawn up by a solicitor, but at the Salvos Wills Days you can pay just $50 to have a solicitor create a Will, ensuring your loved ones are looked after.

In exchange the Salvos do ask that you consider making a bequest to them in the will, but there is no obligation.

You can book in for a 15 minute appointment on Thursday 7 July 2016, 12pm-6pm at:

  • Gungahlin – 104 The Valley Ave, Gungahlin
  • Canberra City – Cnr Fawkner & Elouera St, Braddon
  • Tuggeranong, Cnr Anketell & Reed St, Tuggeranong

If you want to make an appointment for the Salvos Wills Days in one the locations across Canberra please contact Celia Nunez on 02 6270 3105 between 9am-5pm Monday to Friday, or email celia.nunez@aue.salvationarmy.org.
