Erratic ute driver hits man at a crossing

AN “erratic” driver in a Landcruiser Ute hit a man walking across the Mentone View crossing in Conder last night (December 20).

The Landcruiser Ute was seen driving erratically in a northerly direction on Tharwa Drive at about 9.40pm, before a man was struck by the Landcruiser, which failed to stop.

ACT Ambulance Service and ACT Fire and Rescue attended and provided medical assistance to the man who was transferred to hospital.

The Landcruiser is believed to be an early model utility, light coloured with a back tray.

Police are urging anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website using reference number 6212954.
