New fire pumper supports the prevention of violence

A NEW urban fire pumper has been unveiled today (May 24) with a White Ribbon theme, which represents the fight to prevent violence against women. 

 Minister for Police and Emergency Services Mick Gentleman says it will be housed at Kambah Fire Station.

“ACT Fire & Rescue already has an exceptional reputation when it comes to its response times and firefighting capabilities,” Mr Gentleman says. 

“This latest addition to the fleet will strengthen that reputation and allow our crews to continue the fantastic work they do to protect the Canberra community.”
