Crews tirelessly work overnight on Belconnen fire

CREWS worked for several hours last night (March 27) suppressing a large rubbish fire at the West Belconnen resource management facility, with assistance from the site owner, who helped by breaking up the rubbish piles with a dozer.

The fire was extinguished shortly after 1am, this morning.

The site will be patrolled throughout the day by two Fire & Rescue CAFS tankers.
