A SPEEDING woman on a mobile phone with a young child in the back made the costly mistake of overtaking an unmarked police car on Parkes Way, Russell, at about 7.55 this morning.
And costly it was with police issuing her two traffic infringement notices – one for speeding and one for using a hand-held mobile phone – totalling $726.
The woman told police she was calling her workplace to inform them she was running late.
