Investigations into deadly Bonner blaze continue

INVESTIGATIONS continue into the suspicious fire, which killed three people in Bonner on Monday, February 19.

ACT police say they’re unable to confirm identity, even to the next of kin, until the formal identification process is complete.

On Monday, bodies were removed from the premises and autopsies have now been completed with toxicology reports still pending.

ACT police say they recognise the interest in this matter and note speculation on the circumstances.

“It’s an extremely complex investigation. There are a large number of investigative avenues currently being examined to assist in determining the circumstances that led to this tragic outcome,” says police.

“To this end, investigators are working as quickly and methodically as possible.”

Information to Crime Stoppers on 1800 333000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website  using reference number 6235814.
