Man struck down by Subaru in bike lane

A MAN was walking on the bike lane along Barry Drive, Acton, on April 8, when he was struck by a Subaru Forester.

He was walking near the playing fields at about 2.30am when the Subaru, which was heading towards Belconnen, failed to stop, hitting him.

The man was assisted by a member of the public who transported him to hospital where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The Subaru Forester is believed to be a dark blue or black 2004 model.

Anyone who may have any information about the incident or the vehicle, or have any dash-cam footage are urged to assist police by calling 1800 333000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website using reference number 6253036.
