Phoenix, 6, reunited with dad

MISSING six-year-old Phoenix Mapham was found safe and well in the Carwoola area late yesterday afternoon (August 30). 

He was brought to the ACT to be reunited with his father and will also undergo medical checks.

Phoenix’s mother, Tessa Woodcock, was found nearby a short time later.

She has been arrested and taken to Queanbeyan Police Station and will face charges relating to the unlawful taking of Phoenix Mapham.

ACT detectives will be seeking her extradition from NSW today.

Detective station sergeant Harry Hains says it’s tremendous news that he has been found, and that he is safe and well.
