Three rescued from car in Belconnen

A WOMAN is one of three who has been rescued from a car following a crash on Nettlefold Street in Belconnen.

One man in his twenties is currently being transported to Canberra Hospital in a stable condition. A woman in her thirties is being assessed and treated on scene and another woman, the last to be removed from the car, is in her 20s and is also being treated on the scene. 

Nettleford Street has been closed in the direction going towards the Belconnen town centre and is shut down to one lane in the other direction. Southbound on Coulter Drive has also been shut down to one lane. ACT Policing are on scene managing traffic.

The community is advised to avoid the area if possible.


Update: 7.45pm, July 16.

THE crash scene was cleared at about 7.45pm on Monday, July 16, and the last woman removed from the car is said to be in a stable condition in hospital. 

The scene has been handed over to ACT police.
