Street in Amaroo off limits after townhouse fire

UPDATE: 3.45pm, July 5

ACT ESA has advised that firefighters have left the scene and the street is now safe for the public to access. 

THE public is being urged to steer clear of Armada Street in Amaroo following a structure fire at a townhouse complex on the street. 

Four units were evacuated before firefighters battled the blaze earlier this afternoon.

Firefighters are expected to remain on scene for another hour.
