AN ACT institution scored a bronze award at the 2019 Australian Tourism Awards late last week.

The Royal Australian Mint placed bronze for the 2019 Cultural Tourism Award, which recognises the Mint as an outstanding tourism provider and cultural institution that fosters a greater understanding and appreciation of authentic culture, history, heritage and the arts in Australia.

On the night, Federal Housing Minister and Assistant Treasurer Michael Sukkar congratulated the Royal Australian Mint’s staff, saying each year the Royal Australian Mint welcomes hundreds of thousands of visitors and is a must see destination for those who visit Canberra.

“I congratulate the Mint and all the staff on this well-deserved award, and I know they will continue to deliver a world-class experience for visitors into the future,” he says.
