AN Australian National University (ANU) student, who is currently interstate, has tested positive for COVID-19.
ANU vice-chancellor Prof Brian Schmidt made the announcement this afternoon (March 20) saying: “Our thoughts are with our student and their family and friends.”
The student, who has requested privacy at this time, is being cared for by health authorities.
“They have not been to campus or the ACT this semester,” Mr Schmidt says.
“We have been in contact with the student and are providing additional support through the University’s Community Welfare team.”
The ACT has six confirmed cases of COVID-19.
