MULTIPLE Canberra supermarkets have sold out of toilet paper after coronavirus fears reach the capital.
Shoppers at Franklin Woolworths have reported that the toilet paper aisle has today (March 4) been completely cleaned out of toilet paper, and other locals have taken to social media to share similar stories.
On Monday (March 2) Erna Glassford took to Twitter saying: “There’s no toilet paper left at Costco Canberra. Zero!”
Another Twitter user, Kathy Dibley, posted a photo on Monday, too, of Dickson Woolworths almost empty of toilet paper.

In a response to this panic buying Woolworths has today announced it will apply a quantity limit on toilet paper packs.
They have limited the toilet paper purchases to four packs per customer both in store and online.
“It will help shore up stock levels as suppliers ramp up local production and deliveries in response to higher than usual demand,” Woolworth says.
“Our teams are continuing to work hard on restocking stores with long-life food and groceries from our distribution centres.
“The vast majority of the products in our range remain available for our customers as normal.
“We apologise to customers for the inconvenience caused by temporary stock shortages and thank them for their patience.”
