Five years on and Robert’s still missing

FIVE years ago on this day (November 12), Robert Hal Jacob went missing and hasn’t been seen since.

Robert’s been missing now for five years.

He was last seen at the Civic bus interchange and a few weeks later, on December 3, Robert’s daughter reported him missing after not hearing from him.

At the time she said his lack of contact is considered out of character.

Police say Robert never owned a phone and lived alone. He was often seen in inner city public places and at the time of his disappearance had medical issues.

Robert is described as being of slim build, Caucasian, 179cm (5’8”) in height, having short greying dark brown hair, and brown eyes.

Police say his left thumb has limited mobility and he has a tattoo on his left forearm graphic of barbed wire, Ned Kelly, and the writing “mum” and “dad”. On his left arm and shoulder is tattooed Bianca, and Briony and on his right shoulder is the tattoos of Adam and Lauren.

Police are now urging anyone with information, no matter how small the information may seem, to come forward. It may be the missing piece needed to locate Robert, they say.

Police are urging anyone who may have seen a man matching the description above or who may know the whereabouts of Robert to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website quoting reference number 5890168.
