THE mystery lotto winner who won more than $11 million after buying a ticket from a Charnwood newsagency says he nearly fell out of his car when he discovered he was the winner.
After finding out he won, the man said he was off to call his mum to tell her he’d be buying his parents a new house before purchasing one for himself.
The ACT player held the only division one winning entry nationally in Oz Lotto draw, drawn on Tuesday, October 6, making him $11,283,854.81 richer.
“I had the ticket in my wallet and I just pulled it out and scanned it on the app. When I saw $11 million appear on my screen I just about fell out of the car,” he told a lotto official.
“This doesn’t feel real. I think I’ll only believe it when I see the money in my bank account.”
