Alleged bikie-gang chief arrested in Braddon raid

Police seize the Chrysler sedan in Braddon yesterday.

A CHRYSLER 300C sedan car and mobile telephone were seized, and a 50-year old man arrested by police during a raid in Braddon yesterday (December 23).

Taskforce Nemesis officers charged the Wollogorang, NSW, man, who is alleged to be the ACT president and national sergeant-at-arms of the Rebels outlaw motorcycle gang, with telecommunications offences. He was given bail to appear in the ACT Magistrates Court on February 21.

Police say it will be alleged the Chrysler was purchased with the proceeds of crime and was owned by a second member of the Rebels OMCG, who was charged in November with multiple unrelated offences.

Anyone with information about OMCG activity in the ACT can call 1800 333000 or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website. Information can be provided anonymously.
