Alleged phone snatcher faces court

A 44-year-old Throsby woman is facing court on charges for multiple mobile phone thefts.

Between December and January,  police say the woman agreed to purchase second-hand mobile phones advertised on social media sites.

It is alleged that in four cases the sellers went to addresses in Throsby and met with the woman. However, once she had agreed to purchase it, she ran from the scene with the phone without paying.

Anyone with information about incidents such as this should call 1800 333000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website. Information can be provided anonymously.
