Covid shock: new Canberra cases leap to 58

FIFTY-eight new cases of COVID-19 have been reported in the ACT today (December 22), a leap on the 16 cases reported yesterday.

ACT Health says there are now 174 active cases, with a total of 2241 for this outbreak.

However, hospital numbers remain stable at three patients, none in ICU or needing ventilation.

The double-dose vaccination rate for people aged 12 and over remains at 98.4 per cent.
