PARENTS can call and book a COVID-19 vaccination for their 5-11 year-olds at an ACT government clinic from today (December 20).
The ACT will receive the children’s vaccine supply next month, so appointments begin from January 10.
Health Minister Rachel Stephen-Smith says many parents are keen to get their children vaccinated so they are better protected from the effects of COVID-19.
“While children are less likely to suffer the more severe effects of COVID-19, we’ve seen children becoming infected with the coronavirus during the current outbreak and transmitting the virus to others.”
To book, call the COVID-19 vaccination booking line on 02 5124 7700 between 7am-7pm.
Or find participating GPs and pharmacists here.
