SMOKE may be visible across Canberra today (December 15) while fire managers conduct a prescribed burn at Paddys River.
The ACT Parks and Conservation Service says efforts will be made to reduce the impacts of smoke, but temporary smoke cover is still possible.
The 5.5 hectare cultural burn is being undertaken to restore native grasslands and protect cultural assets.
As part of managing the prescribed burn to its conclusion, a buffer zone of up to 20 metres will be created around the perimeter of each burn site.
