Six Canberrans robbed across three suburbs

SIX Canberrans were robbed yesterday (December 6) in a spree which saw three victims threatened with a knife.

Police say the robberies took place between 9am and 2.30pm in Turner, Narrabundah and Hawker and believe the incidents are linked.

They say the male offender used a knife to threaten victims on three occasions and made verbal threats during the other robberies.

The offender is described as Caucasian in appearance, tall with a slim build, short light brown hair and in his early 20’s. He may also have a small beard.

He stole mobile phones, cash, wallets and cigarettes.

Police are seeking witnesses and any CCTV/dash-cam images of the robberies.

Anyone that has information about any of these incidents is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website, quoting reference number 6979636 for any information in relation to these robberies. Information can be provided anonymously.
