WANDERER Festival is a new boutique festival on the Sapphire Coast, running this weekend with theatre, comedy, circus and a huge music line-up, including The Teskey Brothers, The Dandy Warhols, and Sarah Blasko. Far South Coast, September 23-25.

THIS year’s Poetry on the Move festival runs at Gorman Arts Centre, Smith’s Alternative and Manning Clark House until September 26 , with featured poets in residence this year Prithvi Varatharajan, Rebecca Jessen, and Marjon Mossammaparast.

PERFORM Australia’s Advanced Diploma of Performance students are appearing live on stage to perform “The Impro Show!” 11 Whyalla Street, Fyshwick, 7.30pm, Friday, September 23.

A group of young, local writers and comedians called Bread Revue who formed the group “to temporarily cope with the hollow ennui of their youth”, are staging their first uniquely Canberran show, “Mind The Crust”, at Belco Arts, 7pm Saturday, September 24.

“DANCE.FOCUS” is a dance film initiative by Dance Hub SA, Ausdance ACT and Ausdance SA where five creators with a track record in dance filmmaking were commissioned. • CANBERRA Sinfonia is back with a modern classic, Max Richter’s reworking of Vivaldi’s Four Seasons, “Vivaldi Re-Composed”, featuring violin soloist Helena Popovic. Wesley Uniting Church, Forrest, 3pm, Saturday, September 24.
• “CANDLELIGHT Concerts” are bringing the music of Hans Zimmer under candlelight to James O Fairfax Theatre, National Gallery of Australia, 6.30pm and 8.30pm, September 24.
• MELBOURNE pianist/composer Nat Bartsch responded to the Black Summer bushfires and the extended Covid-19 lockdowns by writing her album, “Hope”. Supported by Canberra Strings, she’ll be at The Street Theatre, 8pm, September 24.
• THE Canberra Jazz Club has partnered with the Canberra Southern Cross Club to bring back “Jazz at the Cross” to celebrate the club’s Golden Anniversary with a gala matinee concert featuring the State Summit Allstars. Southern Cross Club,  1.30pm on Sunday (September 25).
