Covid case numbers dive as hospital infections rise

NEW daily covid case numbers have dived while hospital numbers have risen slightly, according to today’s (May 29) figures from ACT Health.

There were 583 (303 PCR and 280 RAT) reported cases today compared with yesterday’s 822. Active cases remain steady at 4978.

Meanwhile, there are 82 people in hospital with COVID-19, compared to yesterday’s 77. There are two people in intensive care and one on a ventilator.

ACT Health will not be issuing a statistical update tomorrow, Monday May 30 because of the Reconciliation Day public holiday.
