A TOTAL of 50 detainees at the Alexander Maconochie Centre have contracted COVID-19, the Justice and Community Safety Directorate confirmed today (May 19).
Of those who have had the virus, 22 have recovered and been cleared from isolation by ACT Health.
As of May 2, 78 per cent of detainees had received their first COVID-19 vaccination, and 59 per cent had also received their booster dose, an ACT government spokesperson says.
