Driver charged after collision in Watson

POLICE have charged a 26-year-old woman from the Canberra suburb of Ngunnawal, with negligent driving after an altercation on Saturday (February 12) that ended in a collision.

The incident, which was captured and shared to social media, shows a car becoming lodged on top of another vehicle following a heated exchange between a Canberra resident and an protestor who’d been taking part in anti-vaccine mandate demonstrations.

Officers were called to the two car collision in Watson at about 10:15am on Saturday.

Police spoke to both drivers involved and confirmed there were no injuries as a result of the collision.

The driver of the Black SUV has been fined for negligent driving.
