Footage wanted for 17-car-crash

POLICE are seeking footage of a crash involving 17 cars on the Tuggeranong Parkway on May 19.

At about 6.45am, a wheel came loose from a car and landed in the northbound lanes of the Tuggeranong Parkway, police report. Multiple vehicles swerved to avoid it, and subsequently a nine vehicle collision occurred at the end of the Cotter Road on-ramp heading north.

Further collisions occurred near the fixed speed cameras in the north and southbound lanes.

Police say thankfully, no injuries occurred.

ACT Police are seeking drivers who witnessed the first collision to come forward (who have not already spoken to police) and dash-cam footage from vehicles driving in the vicinity between 6am and 8am.
