Covid hospital numbers remain high in ACT

THERE are 91 people in hospitals around Canberra with COVID-19 today (May 23), with four people in ICU and two on ventilators, ACT Health reports.

The ACT has recorded 622 new cases of covid, through 314 PCR tests and 308 RATs.

On the vaccination front, 97.2 per cent of people aged five and older have received two doses of a covid vaccine, 76.2 per cent of people aged 16+ have received three doses of a vaccine.

Children between five and 11 who have received one dose of a vaccine number 80.6 per cent, and 67.4 per cent of children have received two doses.

There are 5409 active cases throughout Canberra, and a total of 125,828 cases have been recorded since the start of the pandemic.
