Man on sex charges after dating site hook-up

A 33-year-old Isabella Plains man is facing four counts of sexual intercourse without consent that police allege happened in a car after meeting a woman on dating app Bumble.

It is alleged the man met the woman on the night of Friday, September 9 at a Kingston hotel after communicating via the dating service.

After meeting at the hotel, police say the two drove to Yarralumla where police will allege the man sexually penetrated the woman four times without her consent.

The woman reported to police the day after before attending hospital to participate in a forensic medical examination.

Police arrested the man at a café in Greenway yesterday (October 2).

As well as facing four counts of sexual intercourse without consent – reckless, the man was also charged with one count of act of indecency without consent and one count of act of indecency – third degree/self.
