THE Southern NSW Local Health District (SNSWLHD) has reported there is now only one COVID-19 patient in intensive care, as the district recorded 300 new cases of the virus today (January 24).
Of the new cases, 189 were detected by PCR tests and 111 were detected by Rapid Antigen Tests (RATs). There are now 3532 total active cases throughout the district, with 78 new cases reported in the Queanbeyan-Palerang region.
There are currently 21 people hospitalised with the virus.
Elsewhere in Southern NSW there are:
- 28 new cases in the Bega Valley
- 21 in Eurobodalla
- 32 in Goulburn Mulwaree
- 19 in the Snowy Monaro
- 2 in the Upper Lachlan and
- 6 in the Yass Valley
