Rebecca takes reins at the Bar Association

New ACT Bar Association president Rebecca Curran.

BARRISTER Rebecca Curran is the new president of the ACT Bar Association.

After more than 15 years in private practice in Canberra, she worked in private practice in Brisbane then as Registrar of the Family Court of Australia. In 2012 she joined the private bar at Burley Griffin Chambers and became a nationally accredited mediator in 2015.

Her diverse practice includes family law, estates and coronial inquests.

She has been on Bar Council since 2016 and and previously chaired the Family Law Sub-Committee and Women Barristers Sub-Committee.

She is the association’s first female president.
