Road toll tops 18 with death of 24-year-old

The ute in which a 24-year-old man died after colliding with a tree in Kaleen.

THE ACT road toll has reached 18 following the death of a 24-year-old man in a single-vehicle collision in Kaleen around 10pm last night (October 22). 

Police say the man was travelling northbound in a Nissan Navara ute when the vehicle has struck a tree near Macumba Place on Maribyrnong Avenue, Kaleen.

He died at the scene.

Anyone who witnessed the collision or has dash-cam footage from the area around that time should call 1800 333 000, or on the Crime Stoppers ACT website.
