Stolen number plates get Casey man arrested

A 30-year-old Banks man will face three counts of unlawful possession of stolen property, two counts of driving while disqualified, using a number plate not properly issued, driving while disqualified, dangerous driving and failing to stop for police after being arrested yesterday (September 23).

Police allege the man was involved in the theft of number plates in Casey on September 6, and that he failed to stop for police who saw him driving a car with the stolen plates fitted in Narrabundah on September 22.

The man was arrested yesterday in a Dickson hotel room, and was discovered to be in possession of several items police suspected to be stolen property.

Meanwhile, a 43-year-old Phillip man will answer to four charges of burglary, use of a carriage servicer to harass, and unlawful possession of stolen property after he was arrested yesterday.

Police allege the man was involved in burglaries from storage cages in apartment complexes in June and August.
