Collision with car halts light rail services

LIGHT rail services in both directions have been halted following a collision between a tram and car in Lyneham this afternoon.

Emergency Services are reporting at 6pm that the collision occurred at the intersection of Flemington Road and Randwick Road.

Randwick Road is closed at the intersection with Flemington Road.

Flemington Road is reduced to one lane in the northbound direction.

Ambulance, police and fire & rescue crews are on the scene. The community is asked to avoid the area.

Buses don’t get blocked in both directions when there is a minor traffic accident. The Tram is really dumb and stupidly expensive. A Bus Transit System is so much more logical and cost effective, and more effective.
