Sexual assault: who are these women?

Police would like to talk to these women who came to aid of young woman allegedly sexually assaulted in Civic.

POLICE want to identify two women who assisted a 17-year-old girl who was allegedly sexually assaulted in Civic.

At about 1.50am on Saturday, July 29, the two women were approached on Petrie Plaza by another woman who was looking for her friend.

The two women assisted the other woman and together they found the 17-year-old in Tocumwal Lane.

A man, who is alleged to have sexually assaulted the 17-year-old, was also in Tocumwal Lane at the time. he was arrested and charged with two counts of sexual intercourse without consent, and two counts of common assault.

Police say they are releasing images of the two women who provided assistance in the hope they identify themselves to police, or people who know them provide their identities.
