Six weeks free travel during bus and tram upgrade

Passengers will travel free for at least six weeks as Transport Canberra upgrades its ticketing system on buses and trams from September 20

The ACT government says that after months of development and testing, the new MyWay+ validators are ready to be installed on buses and along the light rail alignment.

As a result, the current MyWay and NXTBUS real time systems will no longer be available from September 20.

Bus and light rail services will continue to operate as per the scheduled timetable and frequency, however people will not need to pay during the transition period to MyWay+.
