A 78-year-old man has died after a truck and car collided on the Barton Highway at Jeir (about 30km south of Yass) at around 1.30pm on Tuesday.
NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the driver of the car, but he died at the scene.
NSW Police say the 40-something truck driver was also treated by paramedics at the scene before being taken to Yass Hospital for mandatory testing.
The Barton Highway is currently closed in both directions between Nanima Road and Murrumbateman Road.
