Man extradited to face family violence charges

A 34-year-old man accused of family violence offences in 2022 has been extradited from Queensland.

Police allege the man committed a family violence assault against his ex-partner and prevented her from leaving his Braddon residence during the early hours of September 21 2022.

The man was located on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland on Wednesday, where he was arrested.

He was extradited to the ACT and has been charged with multiple family violence offences including contravening a family violence order, aggravated common assault, aggravated damage property and forcible confinement.
