A 39-year-old Mawson man, on parole, has been charged with committing multiple offences against his partner, including aggravated assault and sexual intercourse without consent.
Police allege the man began harassing the woman in December and over the course of this year subjected her to numerous assaults.
She reported the matter to police on Thursday and on Friday they searched the man’s Mawson home.
The man, who was paroled in April, was subsequently arrested and charged with offences including aggravated assault; choke, suffocate and strangle another person; sexual intercourse without consent and using a carriage service to menace and harass.
