Servo worker punched in the head by donut thief

A service station employee incurred facial injuries after being punched in the head  by a man allegedly stealing energy drinks and donuts.

On Saturday afternoon the 31-year-old man was confronted by staff members after he allegedly took the items without paying.

Police say the man became aggressive and punched an employee in the head several times.

Police located the man on a motorcycle on Kingsford Smith Drive, in breach of his bail conditions.

He was arrested and officers located stolen items in his bag. He has been charged with robbery, intentionally inflicting grievous bodily harm and resisting police, and will appear before the ACT Magistrates Court on Monday.
