A 41-year-old woman with a suspended licence was arrested after she allegedly mounted the gutter and drove her Honda CRV erratically on footpaths and greenbelts in Dickson, including near the pool and Café Stepping Stone, late on Thursday afternoon.
She was arrested a short time later in Braddon. Police say her driving behaviour put members of the public at significant risk.
She was charged with driving while suspended and reckless driving, and will face the ACT Magistrates court at a later date.
Meanwhile police are asking for anyone with dash-cam or mobile phone footage of the maroon Honda CRV with a black roof storage box bearing ACT registration YPA 32E to contact them.
