Woman bites guard in bid to enter nightclub

A 36-year-old Farrer woman allegedly assaulted a security guard after being denied entry to a Civic nightclub.

Between 1.30am and 2am on Friday, the woman was repeatedly denied entry to the nightclub in Alinga Street.

Police allege that at about 2am, the woman became aggressive and spat on the security guard before returning and pushing a heater unit at the front entrance that landed on him.

When the security guard attempted to restrain her, the woman allegedly bit him forcefully on the arm.

The woman was subsequently arrested and charged with common assault, assault occasioning actual bodily harm and re-entering the vicinity of premises.
