A four-year-old boy has died after being struck by a vehicle that crashed into the BWS liquor store shop front in Mawson on Sunday morning.
Police say the child was hit when a car drove into the store at Southlands Shopping Centre. He was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to hospital in a critical condition, but he later died.
The driver of the vehicle was taken to hospital for observation.
The boy is the second person to die on ACT roads this year.
Anyone who witnessed the incident is urged to contact the police via the Crime Stoppers ACT website.
