A 30-year-old Kambah man has been charged following a series of alleged family violence incidents in Canberra’s north earlier this year.
Police allege the man assaulted a woman at a Spence home in January, striking her multiple times, preventing her from leaving and threatening her with a knife.
A warrant was issued for his arrest.
Police say the man returned to the address in early March and again allegedly behaved aggressively, pushing the woman and threatening her with a knife.
On Tuesday police arrested the man at a residence in Mitchell.
He has been charged with three counts of assault, two counts of property damage, two counts of possessing an offensive weapon with intent, and one count each of choking, suffocating or strangling another person and forcible confinement.
