A 48-year-old man has been charged with allegedly assaulting his wife, stealing items from her and resisting arrest.
The man allegedly assaulted his wife in the backyard of their home between June and July.
He allegedly took a laptop computer and mobile phone that his wife had obtained from a domestic violence support service before locking her outside of the home on Friday afternoon.
Police attempted to arrest the man on Saturday, but he ran away.
He was later arrested and charged with three counts of resisting a territory public official, and one count each of aggravated common assault and theft.
