A 53-year-old Red Hill man has been charged with child sex offences following an investigation into the alleged grooming of a teenage girl.
Police received information in January regarding an inappropriate relationship between the man and a 13-year-old girl known to him.
Investigators will allege the man began grooming the girl in 2023.
On Friday afternoon, investigators from the Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Team executed a search warrant at the man’s Red Hill residence, where he was arrested.
The man has been charged with using a carriage service to groom a person under 16 years of age and using a carriage service to procure a person under 16 years of age.
